Greece: Day 2

On the previous day, after our swim in Tolo and a late lunch, Maya and the men-folk went back to Kiveri (where we were all staying) while yiayia and I went shopping. We picked up food that we knew the kids would eat, just in case. We also went to a toy store nearby in search of arm floaties. Niko had also requested a mask/snorkel set, so yiayia wanted to buy him one. I wasn't sure if he would like it or not. I mean, he's Niko. One never knows. But yeah... he took to it. Quickly! :)
The theme of the day was: swim, swim, swim! It was all they wanted to do! We went to the beach across the road from us. It was rocky, but very nice once you got into the water (the bottom turned sandy after about ten feet). The waves were small, the water was comfortable, and it just felt fantastic! Niko dazzled us with his newfound snorkeling abilities. Here's a little video I took... he actually improved so much after this! And now he says he wants to take swimming lessons. Finally! Hallelujah! This is the moment we've been waiting for for YEARS!
We eventually got out and dried off, and spent the afternoon in the area. These swings were right outside yiayia and papou's apartment.
Then yiayia asked the kids if they wanted to go swimming again. Guess what their answer was? The wind was picking up, so the waves were bigger, but the kids just enjoyed "surfing" on them!
We had a nice quiet dinner at the apartment, and that was our day!
