The deck has officially been christened with a good old-fashioned cookout! And it was a rousing success! I think we had about 25 people total, and everyone had a good time. The deck held up just fine! :) I didn't take a lot of pictures, since I was busy socializing, but here are two. Also, Gus' very old friend, Ramzi, managed to make it! We live in the same state, but hardly ever see each other. This was his first time at the house! Such a nice surprise!!
Anyway, it went well, the weather was awesome, and the kids were happy. It was an awesome way to kick off our summer!!
On a different note... Earlier in the day, Gus took his coworker out fishing on the lake in the canoe. The guy hadn't been fishing in many, many years. He caught this. Don't squint too hard, hahaha!! Please note that it is the size of his hand (and yes, he obviously threw it back!).
