So... We got new patio furniture! We still need to get an umbrella, but I'm probably going to go looking for that tomorrow. In the meantime, doesn't it look good?
And the correct answer is, "Oh my gosh, it looks AMAZING!" I spent way, WAY too many hours putting it together. It just didn't want to cooperate. Well, the two ottomans (not pictured) were really the worst and most time-consuming. But, it's all done now. And I am sore. Those chairs recline, by the way! And they are seriously comfortable. So they were worth the effort!
In other news... we have been eagerly following my parents' cross-country trailer trip. They're getting closer and closer, currently working their way up the Eastern seaboard! They will be here in nine days. The kids have calendars they are marking off, and maps they are "connecting the dots" on. Both kids are thrilled that they are "SO CLOSE!!" now. Just inches away, haha!!
We had a t-ball game tonight, and Niko's good friends, the twins, were on the other team. He was in an especially silly mood because of that. Tomorrow evening, we have Maya's full dress rehearsal for her very first dance recital, which will be on Saturday afternoon. Also on Saturday, it turns out that Niko's 9am t-ball game got moved to the "real" baseball field! The one where the big kids play! The announcer will be there, announcing all the players' names, and the snack shack will be open. It's going to be really cool! And a total photo op. My camera is going to get a workout on Saturday, haha!
