Two Little Sickies

What's even worse than one kiddo being sick? Why, both of them, of course! Nikos started coming down with a nasty cough over the weekend, and spent most of two nights in bed with us. On Monday morning, he and Gus actually slept in until 7:45, which is just about unheard of! Of course, I had to get up and go to work and get Maya off to daycare, so I didn't get to enjoy the extra snuggle time. But he does seem to be feeling a bit better since then (though his cough is still lingering and waking him up at night).

And... since our boy is so good at sharing things with his sister, he (naturally) had to share his germs as well. Maya was feverish yesterday, and had developed the same cough by bedtime last night. Luckily, it doesn't seem to be hitting her quite as hard as it hit her big bro, and she still managed to sleep alright.

At any rate, they are doing better now. But here are a few pictures of my little sickies!

First, Nikos. Look at this face. He looks miserable, doesn't he? Well, it's not because he's sick. It's because he threw his toy car and I took it away from him (mean old mommy!):

And Miss Maya... This is more of an outtake than anything. Gus wanted me to caption it something like "This is what happens when Daddy watches the baby" or "Too much ouzo for her teething pain." Anyway, she and Gus were actually dancing together, and she had the biggest smiles! Just not in this one. :)
