I told you I had lots of pictures to post, and I didn't lie! Yesterday, we drove up to my parents' house for a visit. Grant and Melissa were visiting, too, having just returned from their honeymoon in the Cook Islands. Along the way, we stopped at Hooters to meet up with some of our good college friends, Brian and Megan. That's right-- we took our nine-month-old child to Hooters for lunch. And you know what? Every table around us had at least one child sitting at it! However, Nikos was the youngest by a long shot, and the waitresses were giving him so much attention. He loved it! He ate his lunch happily while we ate ours and had time to visit with friends. Megan even bought him a Hooters onesie, which is hysterical! Here are a few pictures from his first "fine-dining" experience (haha!):
After lunch, we got to my parents' house and put Nikos down for his nap. When he woke up, we walked down to the pool and play area in my parents' neighborhood. For the first time, Nikos really loved being in the water! He splashed and kicked and even put his face in a few times! And when he decided he was done with the pool, he had a total blast on the swings. His Uncle Grant pushed him higher than he's ever gone before, and he LOVED it! We also took some family photos with Grant's camera before heading back to the house, and they turned out pretty well!
That was yesterday. Today, we decided to make a family trip to the zoo, since Gus wasn't able to join us last week. We met up with his buddy Eric and his four-year-old daughter, Taylor. Once again, Nikos loved the llamas. It wasn't a fluke! Taylor seemed to like them, too, chanting "Llamas! Llamas! Llamas!" as we made our way through the zoo. Funny kids!!
